Three quarters of the way through an eco-renovation, Philip needed the property to be ready for its appearance on TV in the BBC's Homes Under the Hammer in quick order.

Philip booked in a consultation with me. Over two hours on the construction site, we discussed the architecture, early feedback from target buyers, and the special approaches he took to renovation, including impressive exposed wooden structural supports.

Borrowing from the natural materials used in the eco construction, I simplified the colour and material palette to woods, stone, ceramics and plaster. A neutral colour palette would enhance the sense of space, flow, and rhythm throughout the property, with a particular focus on varying shades to balance between the sun-drenched front elevation and the north-facing and shaded rear elevation. The result is a warm and cozy family home ready for its new owners to move it.
